Doctors Set Example of Humanity by Successfully Treating Destitute Patient at Balrampur Hospital

Lucknow: In a heartwarming display of compassion and commitment to public service, doctors at Balrampur Hospital successfully treated a destitute and orphaned patient, setting a shining example of medical humanity.

On Sunday, a 40-year-old impoverished patient, Sanjay, son of late Ram Naresh, suffering from a right trochanteric hip fracture, was brought to Balrampur Hospital. A team of skilled surgeons, led by orthopedic specialist Dr. Surur Ali, performed a successful operation using the Dynamic Hip Screw Fixation technique.

The anesthesia team comprised Dr. Kaushal and Dr. Deshraj, who assisted in the complex surgery. According to hospital sources, the patient had no family support and was in a critical condition. Considering his financial and social situation, the hospital administration decided to extend free treatment as a humanitarian gesture.

Before the surgery, the patient received two units of blood transfused from the hospital’s blood bank, and a free implant was arranged by the administration.

Hospital Director Dr. Kavita Arya expressed pride in the team’s efforts, stating, “Balrampur Hospital has always been committed to serving the needy and the underprivileged. Our mission is to ensure that no patient is denied treatment due to financial constraints. Successful surgeries like these reflect our team’s sensitivity and dedication to the spirit of service.”

Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Himanshu Chaturvedi added, “Our endeavor is to provide equal, quality, and timely healthcare to every patient. Such cases not only boost the morale of doctors and staff but also reaffirm public faith in the compassion and service ethos of government hospitals.”

Medical Superintendent Dr. Debashish Shukla further emphasized that the operation was a result of teamwork and a deep sense of humanity. He said, “Providing free blood and implants to an underprivileged patient demonstrates our hospital’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian service.”

The case stands as a testament to how medical professionals at Balrampur Hospital continue to uphold the values of empathy, equality, and dedication—proving that true healing goes beyond medicine.
